Sis can't find Desjardine Springs. She's looked everywhere I can think of and then some. It is really, really driving me nuts because I know it's there and how it didn't end up on the external harddrive is anyone's guess.

Jo and Mystery both suggested rebuilding, but really, I don't know that my heart is really in the Desjardines anymore. Even when I wasn't playing them, I was still straining to write them. And I can't very well say I was happy with what I came up with. I even tried to use Simspiration to get the ball rolling in my brain, but I still can't figure out how to pull it off. I don't want to say I'm giving up, quite. But this has felt like a new start with the game, and I think that means I need a new start with a legacy. Admittedly, I've started five in the past few weeks, but none of them with the intention of completing, so I don't have (m)any pictures.

So I did. I started a new one with no plot in mind and am just writing one of those commentaty first chapters, merely because it's simple, and if I had a sense of humour it would be funny (but I don't, so it isn't). Hopefully an idea for a plot will fall into my lap before too long, but meanwhile, I want to play, and have fun playing, and not worry about writing a killer mad story just yet. The kids are teens at the moment, and I'm not going to play anymore until I have everything written up at least. Then I'm going to upload to slideshare and/or Scribd (does anyone know how one could go about getting a Dreamwidth account?).

So anyways, that's what I'm doing. :P What's new with you? How is your family faring in the floods, Jo? I looked at the tracking thingy on google and my gawd there's a lot of water. My Aunt is safe due to higher altitude, but she's isolated and can't get anywhere.
