Josee is made of pure win!
Jan. 13th, 2011 09:51 pmI love her to pieces and you all should too! I was in grade six when we met at school. I was the new girl and she was the girl whose parents ran the place. :P Well, not really (her Mom was the lunch lady whom we all disliked, and her Dad was the Janitor.) Eventually Josee invited me over after school. And that is when I was introduced to the Sims (the first one.) I eventually got it and played it for a while, but was never really hooked on it. Not like I was the first time I got the Sims 2 (long after she had it. ;) ).
Anyways, today I went back to my hometown. I talked to the teachers who were thrilled to see me, and I talked to some of the students whom I have known since they were in Kindergarden. One girl I saw in the halls the first time I stared at her and she stared at me. The second time she said "Bonjour Sophia!" and I nearly fell over. "Bonjour Stephanie!" I said, baffled. I did the same thing when Josee's Mom re-introduced me to her brother, Stephen who wanted to know if my brother was ever coming back to the school. I told him Owen was still in Australia, but he missed him, too. Oh, and another kid whom I've known for a long time and actually recognized was there, too. I said "Bonjour Noah!" and he said very politely "Bonjour Sophia, comment ca va?" and (I'll write the rest of the conversation in English) I said "I'm fine, glad to be back from Australia." "You were in Australia? That's awesome! I have always wanted to go to Australia." I smiled and said "Well, you should come and visit me next year." "Okay," he said, "I'll ask my parents." It was awesome. I also told Josee later that "Noah is really rockin' the geeky look nowadays." She laughed and exclaimed "Yes, he is!"
Anyways, after having a blast at the school, my Grandparents took me down to Jo's so we could chat and hang out or, as they put it "visit with each other." The conversation, after hanging up coats and "I've missed yous" went like this:
Jo: "So, what have you been up to lately?"
Me: "Not much. Living with my Grandparents is slow, and I don't have a job. Mostly I've just been sitting around playing the sims all day."
Jo: "Haha, same! I have the Sims 3. Have you ever played it?"
Me: "No, I have the Sims 2."
Jo: "I'll go get my laptop. We can play it now, you can try it. I got a new expansion pack, and then my guy became a vampire." *runs upstairs*
Me (in a loud voice): "You can have Vampires in the Sims 2, too, y'know."
Jo: "I know. See, here's my family." she handed me the laptop that already had the game running, indicating that I had interrupted her playing. I fooled around with it for a bit, and the people admittedly weren't as pudding like in game as they look in the pictures, but it didn't feel as smooth to me as the Sims 2. Smooth isn't really the word I'm looking for, maybe sleek? I dunno. I liked the Sims 2 better, and I told her so. Then I asked if she still had her old Sims 2 expansions.
Jo: "Yeah, do you want them? I don't use them anymore."
Me: "Do I?" *bounces up and down on couch and lands on the tail of one of 5 cats*
So I have Seasons, Freetime, Family Fun Stuff, and Happy Holiday Stuff, which I am installing presently. :) :) Eeeee, this is so exciting, I get to play my Desjardines tonight! Also, I only need to buy Bon Voyage and M&G and I have all EPs and SPs, so next time I get to WalMart I am spending that Christmas money! :)
So, what's new with you guys?
